The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) made a presentation of eight (8) fully refurbished vehicles to the Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) Lagos State Command today. These Vehicles including a heavy duty tow truck had been in a non-deployable state for so long.
The Executive Secretary of LSSTF, Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun in a statement, said the NSCDC Lagos State Command were struggling to effectively perform their statutory duties which are protecting lives and property particularly critical national and state infrastructures due to the lack of adequate equipment one of which are operational vehicles.
“The vehicles fully refurbished by the LSSTF and presented to the Command is in furtherance of the objective of the Fund to assist all security agencies in attaining their set goals, hence this timely intervention”
Dr. Balogun further acknowledged that the repairs, maintenance and procurement of security equipment is achievable through voluntary donations to the Fund by the public institutions, private organization and well-meaning individuals.
“Therefore the Fund appeals to Lagosians and corporate entities to continue to make donations through the provision of effective security architecture towards the prosperity of Lagos State.” Dr. Balogun said.
