
In a bid to continue to improve security in Lagos, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) presented operational vehicles to four security agencies in the State. They are: Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) Lagos State Command, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Lagos State Command, Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos State Command, and Lagos State Law Enforcement Training Institute (LETI).
The Executive Secretary/CEO of LSSTF, Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun stated that “the security agencies need all the support they can get to enable them effectively perform their statutory and one of the equipment required to achieve this are operational vehicles”.
The Executive Secretary/CEO further acknowledged that the procurement of these security equipment including their repairsand maintenance are being achieved by the Fund through voluntary donations from private/public organization and well-meaning individuals.
“The Fund therefore appeals to Lagosians and corporate entities to continue to make donations towards the provision of equipment for effective security in our collective interest in the State”.
A member of the Board of Trustees of the Fund Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, at the presentation, stated that “the donation was in fulfillment of the Fund’s objective to assist all security agencies in the State to attain their set goals.”
The Commandant NSCDC Lagos State Command Mr. Paul Ayeni on behalf of the beneficiaries promised that the assets received would enable them put in their best in the discharge of their duties.
